The inaugural Shetland Fiddle Week will take place from 5-9 August 2024, celebrating the islands' fiddle music tradition and bringing people together to learn about and enjoy the music.
Fiddle Week has been put together by two Shetlanders Lynda Anderson and Jenna Reid, both talented fiddle players.
Hosted in the islands, the event gives visitors the chance to experience Shetland's unique fiddle style in stunning surroundings. It includes fiddle classes suitable for all abilities, teaching the unique Shetland fiddle style and tunes, and the opportunity to meet some of the islands' best-know and most-talented musicians.
As well as classes and tuition a programme of concerts, talks, sessions and dances will take place throughout the course of the week.
