The Old Haa of Burravoe is now a museum and was built in about 1672. It contains displays of local and natural history, a gallery with arts and crafts, a tearoom, shop, garden and is a visitor information point.

Opening times:
7th April until 6th October 2024, Monday to Saturday 10am - 4pm, Sunday 2pm - 5pm.

Museum displays and garden exhibits celebrate the beauty and diversity of Yell's rocks and their association with North America.

Directions

Yell is one of Shetland's most northerly islands and is accessible via a ferry which departs from Toft on the Mainland
Take the A970/A968 to Toft and cross on the ferry to Ulsta
Take the B9081 to Burravoe, turn right at the school onto Broch road and continue onto Meadowbank Road until you reach the Old Haa and park
Geo-art exhibits are situated in the garden and there are geology displays inside
