Norby is in Sandness on Shetland's Westside and is situated in an area of Special Scientific Interest (SSI). The SSI site runs from the Quivla Taing in the west to the Neap of Norby in the east and includes the shore of the Holm of Melby. From Norby, you can see the island of Papa Stour in the distance.
