First impressions, arriving as I did in a break between conference sessions, is of overwhelming busy-ness, and loads of suits. Renewables is heavy duty, serious business. There is a resolute desire on behalf of the exhibitors to attract investment and indeed plain old interest in the potential of the areas they represent.
You can smell the money. The desire to attract it. And the recognition that Scotland as a whole offers enormous potential for marine energy.
Shetland, of course, offers more potential in the renewables realm than almost anywhere else.
