Hi,
I'm Abby - the author of Shetland My Love and I'll be bringing you monthly Shetland happenings, information and holiday suggestions. I enjoy Shetland throughout the year, however I especially love Shetland in the Spring time. As the flowering of snowdrops brings a welcome sign of new life to the winter landscape, there's no better place to brush away the cobwebs, breathe in the freshest of air and enjoy the natural beauty and activities our islands have to offer.
If you are considering a visit to Shetland, please do not hesitate to contact us for holiday planning advice using either the contact form on the website or by phoning +44 (0)1595 98 98 98.
Please also feel free to get in touch with questions and comments via Twitter or Facebook – we would love to hear from you.
A Walker's Paradise
Shetland is a walker's paradise. So, why not put a glow back in your cheeks, a spring in your step, and spend the day exploring our breathtaking landscape. If you're looking for a dedicated walking holiday, why not join Shetland Wildlife on a fantastic 8-day trip. You are sure to be thrilled and mesmerised as you stroll across our heathery hills, amble along deserted golden beaches and watch the sun dip on shimmering sea lochs. As birds wheel across vast open skies; take cushioned steps over vivid mosses: ethereal pinks, emerald greens, Merlot reds. Watch Common Seals lounge in sheltered voes, spy Otters at play and keep an eye out for those Orcas! Explore archaeological remains and unearth Shetland's rich and ancient history. There are a variety of walks, each offering a unique and memorable adventure - ranging from a challenging long distance walk to a leisurely circular ramble. Be inspired, educated, and indulge in some retail therapy too! Return home with a unique keepsake. A truly authentic Shetland experience - offering not only a warm welcome but unsurpassed craftsmanship. Craft Trail leaflets will be available soon.
