I would like to invite you to join myself and many other foodies for the second #ScotFood Twitter chat of 2014 which will take place on Monday 3 February from 9 – 10 pm. The topic is all about Orkney and Shetland food!
The #ScotFood Twitter Chats were established in June 2013 by Susan McNaughton (@SusanMcNaughton) in her role as social media manager for the Crail Food Festival, and in consultation with Christopher Trotter (@CTScotFood), Fife’s Food Ambassador.
The idea behind the chats is to provide a regular meet up between foodies, food producers, chefs, restaurants, cafés and anyone with an interest in promoting or consuming Scottish Food and Drink.
Joining in the chat provides you with new ideas, allows you to meet new people who share your interests, and to discover more about our abundant Scottish larder.
A different region of the country provides the hosts each month, allowing others to discover more about regional differences as well as seasonal specialities.
All you need to join in is a Twitter account, and to tag your tweets #ScotFood. Photo sharing is welcome throughout the chat – the more the better! Just tag your photo #ScotFood or use it to answer one of the questions. Be sure to check out the Orkney and Shetland Pinterest board with links to local producers and foodies. If you are a local food producer and wish to be included on this board send @SusanMcNaughton a tweet with your website link.
Follow the hosts for #ScotFood chat to see the questions being tweeted out. This month's hosts are:
Elizabeth @TangoRaindrop
