Jon has an interest in the impact which conflict has had upon Shetland via both World Wars, and has undertaken primary research on the Shetland soldiers of the Great War.
He has written various articles in The Shetland Times, Shetland Life, and online covering the Shetland experience of the various theatres of war of the First and Second World War. Jon is also a tour guide. During the summer months, he delivers Commonwealth War Graves tours in Lerwick.
